Aspen/Snowmass is one of America’s largest and most interesting ski resorts. Your liftpass gives you access to four giant mountains, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass, each with some of the best skiing in the world and linked by a free shuttle bus service.
The majority of accommodation is split between two areas:-
Aspen Township dates back to 1878 and the silver boom days and retains a myriad of Victorian buildings, which have been turned into (over 150) bars, restaurants and art galleries. Aspen also has two ice skating rinks, snowmobile tours, hot air ballooning and world-class shopping.
Snowmass Village is located just a 14km shuttle bus ride from downtown Aspen. 95% of the Snowmass lodging is ski-in/ski-out and the mall and new base area is host to many shops, restaurants and bars plus the new Treehouse Kids’ Adventure Centre. The wide-open, uncrowded slopes (average 2 people per acre) have a family friendly reputation. This massive resort is possibly too big to explore in one day with over 3,100 acres of cruisers, steeps, terrain parks, half pipes and a superpipe. |

ELK CAMP MEADOWS LEARNING AREA
Elk Camp Meadows is completely separated from other ski runs, with no cross traffic from other trails and no access available to more advanced skiers or riders. The elevation ensures the best snow and coverage, particularly during the early and late season, as well as stunning views that most beginners do not get to experience at other resorts until they are more advanced. It includes a quad chair , two covered Magic Carpet lifts and a ski school lounge.

GETTING THERE & GETTING AROUND
Getting There: Located in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, Aspen/Snowmass is easily accessible, with connecting flights daily into Aspen. Contact Value Tours for the best available airfares from Australia to the USA.
Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is a short taxi ride (5km) from the town of Aspen and 10km from Snowmass Village. Another alternative is to fly to Denver International Airport (DIA) (350km away) and pick up your rental car or take the Colorado Mountain Express shuttle service. Either option can easily be included in your Value Tours package.
Getting Around: Aspen/Snowmass provide FREE Bus Transfers to each of the Four Mountains for skiiers/boarders. Many of the accommodation properties also provide transfers around Aspen township if required. If based in Snowmass, night shuttles into Aspen for more apres ski options operate at a minimal charge.
