Fernie Fernie is a perfect ski area for all levels of skier or boarder and is renowned for its excellent natural snow conditions, record snow levels and ‘steep and deep’ terrain. The uncrowded slopes make it an ideal environment for families and first time skiers. An alpine resort at the base of the mountain provides a selection of bars, restaurants and shops, whilst the historic mining town of Fernie with its relaxed, laid back and friendly atmosphere is 5 kilometres from the ski area, connected by a regular bus service. There is good on-mountain accommodation or you can stay in the township of Fernie.

GETTING THERE & GETTING AROUND
Getting There: Fernie Alpine Resort is located in the south-east corner of the B.C. Rockies about a 1.25 hour drive from Cranbrook Airport or a 3.5 hour drive from Calgary Airport. Contact Value Tours for the best available airfares from Australia to Cranbrook or Calgary. The ski resort is 5 km from the City of Fernie. A rental car can easily be prebooked with your Value Tours package.
Getting Around: If required, a local shuttle operates between downtown Fernie and the Ski Resort 16 times daily in winter.
