Apex Mountain Resort remains one of the hidden gems of Canadian skiing. Apex being located in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, features the perfect mix between large amounts of precipitation and low humidity that makes for the lightest champagne powder snow imaginable. With an average temperature of -4º C, Apex receives about 600 cm of dry "Okanagan" powder each season. There is a variety of terrain from the smoothest of cruisers to the steepest of chutes service by a high-speed quad that delivers 2000 feet of vertical in just six and a half minutes to 1112 skiable acres. GETTING THERE & GETTING AROUND
Getting There: Apex is located in the Okanagan Valley of BC. Kelowna (90 minute drive) is the principal gateway to Apex for travellers from Australia. Shuttle transfers or a rental car can easily be prebooked with your Value Tours package.
You can also combine Apex with other resorts in the area - drive times to Apex are 2 ½ hours from Big White, 2 ¼ hours from Silver Star, 3 ½ hours from Sun Peaks.
Getting Around: Getting around is easy as everything is only a short walk (or ski) away in this intimate mountain village. |
